2-12-05. Our friend Betty snatched this lady from death’s grip in the Clark County gas chamber. At first, she was hateful and nasty. She must have been in horrible pain because after surgery to correct bilateral inguinal hernias, she turned into a sweetie. Betty is active, cuddly and waggy. She is low-key about it—a very easy beagle to live with. We named her in honor of our friend who looked into her heart.
